Special needs

The visually and hearing impaired poeple are invited to our guided tours that feature workshops and multimedia experiences, followed by workshops that use special kits.

People with visual and hearing impairments have the museum at their fingertips. MNAR organizes guided tours and programs upon request for groups with special needs. These allow them to explore some of the exhibited masterpieces with the help of multimedia and augmented reality applications, as well as multisensory sets.

Programs for groups with special needs:

The museum organizes, upon request, multisensory tours for individuals with visual and hearing impairments in the Gallery of European Art.

Guided by a museum specialist, participants can explore various works in the gallery using multimedia and augmented reality applications, tactile replicas and textile samples, as well as a "sound library" and an "olfactory library."

The digitally accessible works represent the museum's collections and allow connections with other exhibited works. The multimedia products have been developed within the ARTtouch project, funded by the Orange Romania Foundation.

The multisensory tour for individuals with visual and hearing impairments can only be taken by appointment, by calling 021.314.18.19 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
