The National Museum of Art of Romania and Balassi Institute - the Hungarian Institute in Bucharest present the Hungarian contemporary photos exhibition Attila Bartis. On The Isles.
This is the second event organized through the partnership between the two cultural institutions. On this occasion, visitors will meet a fascinating photographer, by the themes he chooses and by the force of expression of his images.
”Bartis Attila is both a writer and a photographer. Thus, he describes the world and defines his universe through notions, happenings and images at the same time. He represents the purest vision in photography -- the classical one. The exhibition at the National Museum of Art of Romania presents works selected among those made during the latest years in the Java Island, where the artist mostly lives and creates (as well as in Budapest). But these photos do not have a documenting purpose. Most photos are shown for the first time in Bucarest -- a symbolic gesture made by the artist born in Transylvania.” (Petrányi Zsolt, art historian)
